September 2007 Newsletter

Greetings Friends!

It’s time to resume our monthly gatherings, classes and newsletters!    We have 4 cabins that are ready to occupy, complete with furniture and air conditioners.  We have 4 more to finish – but we hope those will be done by this fall.

We had another fantastic weekend at the Ranch!  It was so good to see everyone on this special celebration weekend.  We welcomed people from New York, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas on the grounds and the place was a hoppin’!  We counted 48 people in attendance at the BBQ on Saturday night and a good time was had by all.  A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who helped with the cooking and preparation for this event.

We had readers and healers on the grounds.  Billy Branson, Barbara Wills, Ron Wills and Amanda Goth were a few of the people doing readings and healing work this weekend.  Thanks to all who participated.  We hope you all left with valuable insight and a renewed sense of health.

This was a weekend dedicated to the Spirit of the Horse.  Lloyd and Grace Elm were back from New York to attend this celebration.  Two years ago, Lloyd was stricken with a heart attack.  It took several months to regain his strength, and with the prayers of his family and friends, Lloyd is back on the ‘healthy’ track!

For those of you who are getting to know Lloyd, you understand he is a man who contemplates.  He is a man who sits in deep reflection.  He is a man, humbled by his experiences, and he is a man who shouts with heartfelt gratitude as he acknowledges the work and service of his spirit guides and friends.  It has been quite an experience, listening to Ron and Lloyd share stories from two years ago.

The synchronicity of spirit is amazing.  For many of us, our animal guides are very important aspects to our current physical lives.  We believe the animals are in unison with our spirits and that they bring messages to us in a variety of ways.

Also, we believe that these animals are sometimes called to assist us with our human burdens – offering themselves to the Great Spirit; to take our place so-to-speak, so that we might persevere, and continue on our path.  Most often, when this Spirit exchange or offering happens it is with an understanding that we must be of further service to mankind during this extended lifetime.  That the animal’s sacrifice will not be without positive affect.

Thus, the reason for the Celebration of the Horse weekend at the ranch!  In comparing stories from two years ago, it is told that Ron and Lloyd discovered that on the day that Lloyd had his heart attack in New York, one of Ron’s mustangs, Easy Girl, was stricken as well.  Ron found her in the pasture during  her passing and sat with her during her transition.  Lloyd was in New York,  without knowing  this was happening and Ron was in the pasture in Kansas, clueless that his friend had the heart attack. What appeared as seemingly separate events had a far deeper meaning.

Lloyd heard the story of Easy Girl, and was immediately moved.  He felt the spirit of the horse, and knew instantly that Easy Girl offered herself to the Great Spirit so that Lloyd could continue in this lifetime – sharing love and wisdom and compassion for mankind.

This weekend was in honor of Easy Girl and the Spirit of the Horse.    We learned a Horse Dance song and sang it in memory of Easy Girl during the drumming circle.  We had 26 people in attendance during the circle.  The energy was fantastic!  There was a special Celebration to honor Easy Girl on Sunday.

The Chapel of the Prairie was also packed this weekend.  We had 36 in attendance – yes folks, standing room only!   Ron Wills officiated this weeks service, and it was amazing.  Ron brings the spirit of song to our chapel each and every time he comes – and you can feel the energy building and the power of the spirit within.  His message was on Humor and we could all relate on a personal level to his words and songs!

We had a sweat on Sunday, lead by Wayne Porter a friend of Lloyd and Grace’s.   We also had a special presentation from Chris and Bob Gabrielson, from Colorado.  Bob recently underwent a liver transplant and he shared his feelings and love towards everyone at the Ranch for sending prayers and healing to him during his illness.  He presented the Chapel with a beautiful picture of Kitty Greenwood and Jonet Williams.  He also presented another picture to Lee Greenwood as a present for their new home that was constructed after the devastating Bennington tornado in which our sister, Kitty crossed over.

So, folks, overall this was an overwhelming weekend.  As with all gatherings at the Ranch, spirit is with us, ever present.  Whether it was during one of our classes, ceremonies, services, drummings or sweats, the power was felt and our spirits were blessed.

We have updated our schedule for October and November so take a minute and visit our website to see what we have planned.  www.pennyroseranch.com

We hope you can join us at one of our events, and until we see you again, may you be blessed with the love of the Great Spirit, and may the Spirit of the Horse safely guide you along your path.
